@thomascannon.me Another thing that clicked for me, as pointed out by @kaspth.com: the pulldown sheets that used to be used everywhere solve 2 problems:

1. they help keep windows tidy by staying “within the shoebox”
2. They subtly work around the problem of “don’t have nested dialogs”
